If sold-out Wave 1 tickets for Summer of Sonic 2013 weren’t hot enough, what about an hour’s worth of remixes carrying the summer heat? All provided by artists like Brandon Strader, DusK, Funk Fiction, Gecko Yamori, Guifrog and… Rexy herself? Again!? That DOES NOT COMPUTE…

What happens when a free-for-all happens after the Sonic Fan Music Festival? Blue blur aftertaste, surprisingly! And with a set including tracks from DCT, Dj Mystix, housethegrate, SnappleMan, Theory of N, WillRock and more, we can’t see why not… right?

SMD was part of Sonic Radio’s Sonic Fan Music Festival 2013 with a 2-hour set covering Sonic’s history! With work from people like Brandon Strader, DusK, EAR, Freen in Green, Sir Nuts & Souleye, you’re in for a wide community outlook for the blur blur’s past!

Sonic nuts are in luck this week as the entire setlist has fan remixes for the Blue Blur! This includes work from Anti-Syne, EAR, Jose the Bronx Rican, PrototypeRaptor, Sadorf and Smooth McGroove among others, all for Sonic being around for 22 years!

Metal Heads have gone extinct in this wild techno-driven DJ Mixer Drive! How wild? How does hard-hitting numbers from artists like Beatdrop, EAR, Jewbei, Main Finger, Platonist and Sir Nuts sound? One thing’s for sure – this Spring went out with a bang!

Did anyone call for iced coffee? That’s what SEGA Mixer Drive had for this free-for-all, showing work from artists like DusK, EAR, Guifrog, PirateCrab and WillRock plus an EXCLUSIVE preview from OC Remix’s forthcoming Gunstar Heroes album “Be Aggressive“!

May must be a month of flashbacks, with the last SMD of the month being a return to Sega’s 80s roots. Artists including Beatdrop, Harjawaldar, Jeroen Tel, Press Play On Tape, Sixto Sounds and Yuzo Koshiro were heard during this retro throwback of a set!

Surely a Free-For-All would be a return to normality, right? Only Rexy knew, guiding a packed setlist including tracks from Benjamin Briggs, Freen in Green, MegaDriver, Meteo Xavier, Mister Wilson and some new material from OC Remix‘s B4C2 Competition!

Rexy’s hospital recovery is like lightning – all the better to present a vocal-fused DJ Mixer Drive! And there was a varied outlook too, including artists like Ample Renitence, AMT, Danny Baranowsky, Freen in Green, Mr Stream and Smooth McGroove!

Rexy may have gone to the hospital, but SEGA Mixer Drive stayed put – and celebrated the Sega Saturn’s US launch! Expect great 32-bit remixes from artists like Ample Renitence, Brandon Strader, Harumi Shiina, La SÉGA, McVaffe and weekend star Mr Stream!

What happens when a free-for-all happens after Sonic Free Week? Huge blur blur deprivation! Expect a bunch of mostly-Sonic remixes from artists including Ample Renitence, Jakesnke17, Kaijin, Malcos, McVaffe and… Rexy herself? That can’t be right…

It’s “Sonic Free Week”, and that means coverage for some of SEGA’s other franchises! This show covered the entire generation spectrum while playing tunes from artists including Dj Mystix, Dj Mokram, Fishy, Rukunetsu, Takenobu Mitsuyoshi and the S.S.T. Band!

This SMD marked a first, being a ‘DJ Mixer Drive‘ – all mixes hand-picked. And in this hip hop and rap based edition, there were tunes blasting from Ample Renitence, DCT, DiGi Valentine, Freen in Green, Jose the Bronx Rican, Souleye and many others!

In this particular themed week, SMD shone the spotlight on SEGA’s RPGs and thus showed a great mixture of tunes inc. work from Brandon Strader, djpretzel, MasterJace, ScaredSim, Shnabubul and the Dual Dragons. It was a random encounter not to be missed!

SMD leveled up via 2 new bumpers, yet it still has its spirit – great tunes from artists inc. Alien Renegade, djpretzel, Dr Manhattan, Prince of Darkness and Yannick Jason, as well as Corey Edwards and his half-price original work as a token of gratitude!

Rexy may be on the tailend of a cold, but the show must go on; there were some whoppers for requests and new mixes played this week, including tunes from Brandon Strader, The Cynic Project, DrumUltimA, Fallen Seraph, Plasma3Music and the S.S.T. Band!

The mastering’s been done, the website was almost down… and SEGA Mixer Drive approached The Sonic Stadium Music Adventure 2012 by playing some choice cuts from the then-forthcoming album! Yet, one hour wasn’t enough – it was a 2 hour show that week!

While money was being raised for Red Nose Day across the UK, SEGA Mixer Drive got in the funny fun via an hour’s worth of comical remixes, including tunes from Alien.Renegade, DistantJ, DJ EAR, Dr Manhattan, Star Salzman and the Sonic Paradox Team!

Winter’s almost out, and SEGA Mixer Drive takes the listeners one step closer to being less grump for 2013. All flowing with a mixture of new music and old favorites from AkumajoBelmont, Dr Manhattan, DusK, Mr Stream, Rogue, Yannick Jason and loads more!
