S3E7 Krys' Milkshake Brings the Boys to the Yard
09/09/2013 Duración: 41minPrior to recording Krys revealed that he was drinking a chocolate milkshake – the big wean – hence the title. It’s international weekend, so obviously we discuss Scotland’s game against Belgium. The only problem is that Greig and I have only seen the highlights, so we rely on Krys – who was at the game – to give us his review. Celtic Park had a full house for Stan Petrov’s charity game. Krys was there, and talks us through the game. Following a crisis meeting, the charity bet has had a radical shake up. Not really, we have still tried to pick three easy games. Our Premiership predictions are a little different this week, with Grumpy Old Man listening live, and entering his predictions – albeit slowly – via Twitter. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake.

S3E5 Opening a Bag of Worms
26/08/2013 Duración: 01h08sShould effing and jeffing be allowed on a football pitch? Should there be more lower league football on TV? This week’s McBookie charity has a hefty return, but we are still confident it will come in. Krys comes up with a new saying – opening a bag of worms. I think it’s similar to opening up a can of worms, but I am only guessing. We end with a wee story from Clyde One’s Superscoreboard Unleashed, that includes Hugh Keevins, who was a good sport about it all. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake.

S3E4 England vs Scotland Review and Dodgy Bets
19/08/2013 Duración: 01h06minWe start by discussing the recent England vs Scotland game. Booing the national anthem and Kenny Miller are the key talking points. Krys runs us through the results in Scottish football, before we discuss the key moments. I give my thoughts on why Langfield should not have been sent off in the Aberdeen vs Celtic game. I think I am the only one who things that way, with one reaction being that I was talking mince. I end up googling for a picture of Kris Commons lying on a bed, which I never thought I would do. I blame Krys. Ian Black has been accused of betting on football games, with some even being bets against his own team. We can’t let that pass by without giving our opinion. We make another charity bet, as well as predicting the results in the upcoming Premiership games.

S3E3 Resurgent Aberdeen, the Auld Enemy and Pies
12/08/2013 Duración: 55minFor the third week in a row, Krys and Greig join me to discuss Scottish Fitba. Motherwell, St Johnstone and Celtic all featured in Europe last week. Results didn’t go in Motherwell or St Johnstone’s favour, but at least Celtic got through. I didn’t manage to get a steak and chorizo pie at McDiarmid Park, but I did enjoy the alternative. During the Premiership roundup, we discuss Aberdeen’s resurgence and how many are predicting they will have a great season. I think you can guess how we react to such predictions after just two games. QOS vs Dundee seemed to be the game of the weekend (Wick Academy might argue otherwise), and it almost won us the charity bet. Lyle unfortunately didn’t score first, but he did score second. We move on from another losing week to pick another two McBookie charity bets. I’m confident for the most part, apart from Greig’s choice. Scotland travel down to Wembley on Wednesday and we put our positive spin on the game. We end with a stab at predicting the upcoming Premiership games, as

S3E1 Season Preview 2013/14
29/07/2013 Duración: 01h13minIt’s been a long summer, but we are back. Greig and Krys join me to discuss fitba, it’s as simple as that. European football is covered, both the results from Celtic, St Johnstone and Hibs games, as well as the upcoming games this week. We discuss the expectations, domestically, as well as in Europe(for those of us lucky enough to support a team partaking in European football) of our teams; Motherwell, Celtic and Rangers. We attempt to predict who will win each league, as well as who will be relegated. The charity bet returns, and McBookie continue their support for another season. We couldn’t do a podcast and not take the mickey out of the new league names. It would be rude not to. We end by making our predictions for the upcoming Premiership games, and I also give the predictor a plug – http://forums.scottishfootballforums.co.uk/predictor/ Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake. The podcast is available to download, or via RSS, iTunes, or you can listen using the widget below.

S2E44 Season Finale, Scottish Cup and Charity
27/05/2013 Duración: 01h06minIn the final podcast of the season, Krys, Greig and I start off by discussing the Scottish Cup final. We discuss our personal highlights from the season as a whole and our expectations for next season. Every week we do a charity bet, where McBookie generously supply us with the bet, and we announce that Clic Sargent will receive the winnings from the season. They will receive £333, which will hopefully go a little way to helping them continue to do a good job at helping out those in need. Thank you to McBookie for providing us with the charity bet, thank you to our guests, thank you to our regular co-hosts – Laurie, Greig and Krys – and thank you for listening. The podcast will return next season. Enjoy your summer.

S2E43 SPL Climax, Alloa, Dunfermline & the Scottish Cup
20/05/2013 Duración: 01h06minGreig returns this week to join Krys and I. Krys introduces his final SPL review, before we discuss the key points of the weekend. Greig gives us his review of the food from McDiarmid Park. I went to the first leg of Alloa vs Dunfermline play-off final, and I experienced a novel way of trying to gain cheap entry. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to report back about the quality of Recreation Park’s pies. The game leads us on to discuss off the field matters, with Alloa’s chairman and Dunfermline’s financial situation being the main focus. The Charity bet is nearing it’s season conclusion, and we have managed to amass over £300. Thanks to McBookie for their help throughout the season. We shall announce which charity will benefit from the winnings during next weeks end of season podcast. The end of the SPL also means that the predictor has also ended. Brian Murray and kjphoops shared the top prize or £25 each. The Scottish Cup closes the season on Sunday. We all hope for a sunny day, but are supporting different tea

S2E42 Ye Olde Football and Shocking Misses
13/05/2013 Duración: 01h02minIt’s Krys and I this week and we talk about football. Mostly it’s about the SPL at the weekend, the SFL play offs, or recent awards, but we also stray into English football, and also football from the 1800s. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake.

S2E41 Awards, Dives and SFL Play Offs
06/05/2013 Duración: 01h04minI am joined by Krys and Greig this week and there is loads to talk about. Dundee were relegated at the weekend, with Bomber Brown blaming Pawlett. McKay scored a hattrick to put pressure on Higdon, who also scored, for top scorer in the SPL. In the SFL we preview the upcoming play-offs and discuss what is wrong with the current setup and how it could be improved. With QOS and Falkirk both moving to an astroturf surface, we discuss the pros and cons of the move. Rangers were presented with the third division trophy on Saturday and I give the highlights of the occasion. The PFA awards took place on Sunday evening, so we discuss who won what. We also give mention to Higdon’s post awards celebrations. With the SFL finished, bar the play-offs, we decide to go for an all SPL charity bet. Chances are we will lose, but it’s worth a try. Following our SPL predictions, we did stray into reconstruction talk, following the announcement that ten first division clubs look like they want to join the SPL. We were tight for t

S2E40 Play Offs, Player of the Year & Laurie's Bed
29/04/2013 Duración: 01h05minEach week we record the podcast via Skype and we normally sit at our PCs, with headsets on. This week is a little different, because Laurie uses his phone and decides to record the podcast while on his bed. Not only is that slightly disconcerting, but I am sure that he is almost falling asleep near the end. Not that the podcast is boring

S2E36 Madden's Madness, Caldwell's Calamity and Laurie's Fly
02/04/2013 Duración: 47minScotland’s defeat to Serbia is first up. We discuss who was at fault for their first goal; Caldwell, Marshall or Hutton. It’s no surprise that Bobby Madden’s performance during St Mirren’s game against Celtic gets our focus. In the SFL, Dunfermline, and specifically those who were shown the door are discussed. We also congratulate Rangers and Queen of the South for winning their respective leagues. Throughout the podcast Krys gives us updates on the St Johnstone vs Dundee United game that was being played as we recorded the podcast. The charity bet and our SPL predictions also feature. As I announce the end of the podcast a zipping noise can be heard from Laurie’s microphone, although he denies it. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake.

S2E34B Charles Green's Reconstruction Statement
19/03/2013 Duración: 07minFollowing every podcast recording we normally stay on to chat about football and random banter. Krys accidentally left his recording running and caught our reaction to Charles Green’s statement about reconstruction, and how he sees Stranraer. We didn’t know we were recording, so the language is strong. Thank you to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake.
