Sadly it's the last of our Morning After the Night Before podcasts and this one feels like the most painful of hangovers as Scotland bow out of Euro 2024 following an agonising 1-0 defeat to Hungary. John B is joined by Robert McCahill and Kevin Donnelly and we simply go over what went wrong. What tactics should've been deployed, were the substitutions too late and predictable, why we only had 17 shots on goal in three matches? The biggest question is is Steve Clarke's time up? The moment we've all been waiting for since the Euro 2024 draw was made. Dave is joined by Clare Gemmell to review last weekend's Scottish Cup final which saw Rangers win the competition for the first time and complete a League Cup and Scottish Cup double. The final is discussed in the context of a season that saw Rangers denied a possible treble only on goal difference behind Celtic, with just two defeats in the league all season and one of those came away to their fellow cup finalists Hearts. With attention now turning to the Nations League and Scotland's double header, Dave and Clare discuss the call ups and how the team might fare first at home to Israel behind closed doors, and then away to Israel in a game being played in Hungary. With the SWPL title wrapped up in dramatic style for the second year running, and a Scottish Cup final to look forward to this Sunday at Hampden, Dave is once more joined by Eva Murray to discuss all things in women's Scottish football. Before the title celebrations, there was a huge midweek that saw Celtic beat Hearts 3-1, and Dave caught up with Elena Sadiku and Kelly Clark after that match for their thoughts on what could happen at Celtic Park. The countdown continues for this year's European Championship, so whilst in past years we've seen tournaments take place without Scotland and we've thrown back to those that we were at, here we've flipped the script as Steve Clarke and co can tell their own story this summer! John Bl is joined by Krys and Scott to look back at Euro 2000 and Euro 2004, two tournaments that Scotland missed out on the playoffs - so yes we touch on those as well! The countdown is on for this years European Championship, and to get you in the mood we are going back 28 years to relive Euro '96. In the final instalment of this four-part series, fittingly John B looks at the two sides who reached the Euro ‘96 Final at Wembley - Czech Republic and Germany. To help provide an insight, John spoke to Czech sports journalist Jiri Hosek and Co-Host of Yellow Wall Pod Matthias Suuck. It was the Czech Republic’s first campaign since the separation of Czechoslovakia in 1993 and they won a tight qualification group ahead of Netherlands and Norway to reach the Finals. Their fighting spirit saw them recover from an opening match defeat to Germany to progress ahead of Italy and Russia, before Karel Poborsky’s improvised lob saw off Portugal in the last eight then a dramatic penalty shootout win over France saw them unexpectedly reach the Final. The Germans, meanwhile, were expected to bring the trophy back to their homeland and qualified with minimum fuss, dropping just five point

Dave's been busy on the interview front ahead of this weekend's women's Scottish Cup semi finals at Hampden between Celtic and Rangers, and Hearts and Spartans. Although none of our guests are directly involved in the semis, each of them give their thoughts on what could happen and who might be back at Hampden for the final next month. First up we have Clare Docherty, Head of Ayr United's woman's and girl's academy, on the club's SWPL2 aspirations and ambitions following their securing of a playoff spot in the SW Championship earlier this month.
