We're just two incredibly long and arduous weeks away from new consoles coming out and quite frankly: I am excited. Big resolutions, beautiful graphics, buzzy and buttony controllers, boy oh boy it's a bevvy of bgood bconsoles. We've had a look at hands-on videos that are trickling onto the internet and we have thoughts to share. Would we have liked to get our hands on consoles ourselves? Yes. Have we? No. Are we furious an incensed? Yes, but that was already the case. Originally released in 1997, Episode 254 of Filthy Casuals with Tommy Dassalo, Ben Vernel and Adam Knox was exclusively available in Japanese. Several fan translation projects were started, but none made it past a few minutes of work, as the translators began to realise that the episode was no in fact in Japanese, but rather a broken form of mock Japanese that was considered edgy, but still generally okay when the episode released in 1997. Since then, fans have been calling for an English translation of the episode, citing that "they should never have been doing the Japanese voices in the first place, this is so wrong." and "what the actual fuck is this?"
