Sinopsis
If youve always wanted to learn Spanish, but didnt think it was possible because you were terrible at Spanish in high school, or you dont get sucked into Rosetta Stone-style hype--youve come to the right place. Im a normal person, not some big company and not some native Spanish speaker. Im not a natural language learner at all actually. My first brush with Spanish ended with me getting an F in high school! But somewhere along the way, I fell in love! Im not sure if I love Spanish because I love traveling, or I love traveling because I love Spanish (and food). But I love them both. Naturally, I want more people to love what I love, but I know that you probably dont see Spanish like I do... not yet! Thats the point of this podcast. I want to show you that there is ANOTHER WAY! That most of the strategies and tactics they used to teach us Spanish in high school are IGNORANT. They are ignorant to our plight. I know your mistakes. I understand why you make them. They were my mistakes too! I remember the pain and the agony of having to figure it all out myself because... lets just say... I was underwhelmed with the resources out there. Well, now with these Spanish Quickies, you dont have to waste the years I did, figuring this out on my own.

Fun with Words!
26/02/2014 Duración: 06minArgh! 24/02/2014 Duración: 05minThis lesson is very important. I’ve been avoiding conjugation almost completely until now. But it’s starting to hold us back. False Friends
21/02/2014 Duración: 05minOne of the most beautiful parts of learning Spanish when you already know English is, so many words are essentially exactly the same. These are words that look […]

Formal Conjugation in Spanish
19/02/2014 Duración: 06minIf you watched the lesson called Personal Pronouns, you know there are two ways to say “you” in Spanish–formally and informally. At first this really sucks–especially since most teachers and programs don’t explain it all that well. But for this lesson, I made the video I wish I had when I started speaking Spanish. Related […]

The Sexualization of Nouns
05/02/2014 Duración: 07minIn this lesson, I go over the whole masculine/feminine thing in Spanish. While not nearly as hard to “get” as all the verb conjugations, the sexuality of nouns still gives Spanish students a lot of trouble at the beginning. Or at least that’s how it was for me. Pronunciation in Spain
03/02/2014 Duración: 03minEvery Spanish-speaking country has a different accent. The trained ear (definitely not mine) can almost always tell you what country somebody is from just from their accent. Not me. But even I can tell when somebody comes from Spain. Except for perhaps Argentina, Spain’s accent is the most unique. Related Videos: Spanish Pronunciation Present Tense, […]
