Om Sarva Mangala Mangalye is the most famous Narayani Shloka. Om Sarva Mangala Mangalye is a mantra of benevolence: the Divine Mother, who is in all beings, is asked to bring about good for all. “Sarva Mangala Mangalye” actually belongs to the Devi Mahatmyam, it is a mantra from the eleventh chapter of the Devi Mahatmyam, tenth verse. This eleventh chapter is also called the Narayani Stotra because there are many mantras that end with ‘Narayani Namostute’. And one of them and the best known is this “Sarva Mangala Mangalye”. Mangala means blessing, happiness, all good fortune. And charana also means wish. And so this is a blessing mantra, it is an intercession mantra, it is a mantra of good will. Sadbhuja Dasa has been living in the Bhakti tradition for 24 years, has spent 15 years as a monk in the holy places of India and has spent a lot of time with sadhus.
