We discuss and analyze cult films from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and beyond. Collectively we possess an impressive amount of useless pop culture knowledge, but were no movie snobsjust a couple of guys (and a girl) who really like movies.

Labyrinth (1986)

Starring Jennifer Connelly and David Bowie, the film is a modern day fairy tale all about that awkward balance between dreams and reality and when to let go of your childhood. Featuring astounding creature designs inspired by artist Brian Froud, music by Bowie and sporting a script co-written by Monty Python's Terry Jones the film is unlike anything else that was released before or after.

Gremlins (1984)

Released in 1984 and directed by Joe Dante, this film is the perfect mash-up of family film and gross out horror fun. Starring Zach Galligan and Phoebe Cates, the flick centers on a strange creature called a mogwai that is presented as a Christmas gift to Billy Peltzer by his inventor father. Before the audience knows what to make of the mogwai Gizmo, he multiplies and the litter of new critters soon morph into an army of tiny murderous Gremlins. Can Billy and his girlfriend Kate save the town of Kingston Falls before the Gremlins destroy it?
