Lenten Perseverance Hello St. Mary Magdalene! Hard to believe we're just about half way through lent! I find myself wearing down in my resolve to maintain my Lenten disciplines and it's at times like this when I turn to the Lord and renew my gaze upon Him to find strength to endure. This is when the Lord pours forth His mercy and grace: His heart pours itself out on us in order that we might continue walking toward Him. Hello St. Mary Magdalene, I was praying with this verse the other day: Isaiah 43:19 "Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." What a beautiful reflection the Lord led me into about seeing something new and all the new ways He's at work in my life, in you all, and in our parish and I just wanted to share that with you.
