On episode 422 we continue previewing the seasons ahead in Europe for young U.S. national team men: Tim Weah, Duane Holmes and Tyler Boyd this week. We also catch up on important MLS happenings, and we talk about something fascinating at Real Madrid.

This week we begin setting up your late summer your fall soccer by looking at competitions ahead, when things get started and what we are excited about . We also start looking at the important U.S. national teamers in Europe and wonder what their seasons ahead look like. And we chat about Major League Soccer's emerging dandy of a rivalry – LAFC vs. L.A. Galaxy.

This week we keep the conversation going about women's soccer, asking why the U.S. men's program can't be anything nearly as successful as USWNT. We also wonder what all of this means for women's professional soccer in the United States.

A busy month and a half in soccer culminates on Sunday with the Final of the Women's World Cup between the United States and the Netherlands. It gets capped off that night with the Gold Cup Final between the USMNT and Mexico. This week's show debates the longterm effects of the 2019 World Cup, Jill Ellis' legacy, and what comes next in Gregg Berhalter's system for the USMNT. 

On show 417 we look at the U.S. women's and men's national teams, both getting into the business end of their ongoing competitions, the FIFA Women's World Cup and the CONCACAF Gold Cup respectively. We also look at a certain FC Dallas youngster who just might push his way into the national team conversation sooner rather than later.
