Light is the superstar in spiritual circles, but the Sacred Dark is just as important and powerful. In this season of Advent (coming toward) when the darkness blankets the northern hemisphere, we need its nourishment, but we can’t soak it in and consider it a bad thing or a power of evil. Rev. Jane will be exploring the dark as an aspect of the earth’s wisdom and a spiritual superpower in its own right!

What to do when we can’t see the divinity in ourselves or others?

I delight in helping audience participants exercise their "gratitude muscles" at this time of Thanksgiving. Through inspiring stories to the rhythmic beat of the drum and colorful materials they are empowered to amplify positivity and use or share processes with their families and places of work.

What is this grand mystery we call Life? What is its purpose? Why are we here? Life is precious and miraculous. It is invisible and yet omnipresent, a creative force that courses through each of us and all of nature. Life as a spiritual principle and power goes far beyond physical bodies, certainly far beyond a human body. Unlike a body, the true faculty of life has no finite existence. Charles Filmore wrote, “The first step in the realization of life is always to know that God is life, abundant, omnipresent, eternal, and the second step is to make positive connection with God life by declaring oneness with it.”  That begs the question, what is God? Hmmm, let’s explore God and Life this Sunday.

This Sunday, William will be discussing the rediscovery of our innate abundance. Examining where we are in regards to abundance and prosperity, and a new way to see. A new way to see ourselves from the inside out and a new way to see ourselves in relationship with the world around us.

On this service we will be honoring our loved ones who have passed on, so please bring a photo or memento for ritual purposes. We will also be talking about Unity teachings on death. What does it mean to die?

Gaining spiritual knowledge is a worthy pursuit and usually feels great. However, transformation, of our lives and our world, requires more than study; it requires action. It takes spiritual action in both our inner and outer worlds. What does it look like? What doesn’t it look like? Join us this Sunday as we consider the sacred practice of spiritual action.

Prayer, the Unity way, is about raising our vibration and seeing life and its challenges from the metaphorical mountaintop.

The Sermon on the Mount may (or may not) have been an actual sermon. If it was, it was the only one Jesus ever delivered. It reveals an attitudinal template for transforming our lives dramatically and accessing our full light and power.

As every parent holding their newborn knows, we are born a blessing—pure goodness. But our culture tells us otherwise. In particular, the Christian doctrine of original sin, has contributed to a culture of unworthiness, shame, and disempowerment that is completely counter to the teachings of Jesus. As we face this shadow belief, we will uncover our power to create the world we long for.

Unity’s Third Principle says that we create reality with consciousness, with the thoughts we are thinking. We do not always have control of what happens in our lives, but we always have a choice about how we respond to the happenings. We can choose what we think. This week we will explore this concept using a variety of faith traditions: Hindu, Jewish, Navrati, Christian, and Unity.
