After barely setting foot on the court in high school due to academics and injuries, Minnerath found his way to a JUCO and then Division I Scholarship, before embarking more than a decade of playing professional hoops at some of the game's highest levels. A doting father and fitness enthusiast, Minnerath has remained clean and sober for more than a decade. The Cape Cod native recently joined the LIT crew to talk about his improbable life and journey.

Malvone is nearing in on two decades of restaurant ownership, wiht four locations to his name. But it wasn't all easy street, and certainly not a straight line for Malvone, who grew up in Medford and now lives in Wilmington, Mass. With two young kids, Malvone made a huge career change from a federal job working for the Postal Service to opening up a restaurant, and the night before opening he and his partners called an audible, switching from an Italian concept to Burgers with flare. It's had its ups and downs, and covid had his spots on the brink, but Malvone, as always, continued to find a way to survive, reinvent his burgers, and keep a smile on his face. Malvone's son, Joey, who just finished up his high school career playing Hockey and Lacrosse also joined the pod.

    Courtney Redcross fell in love with basketball from the moment she learned how to dribble, but the sport didn't always love her back. Redcross admits she didn't get the "normal" adolescent experience because of hoops: She landed her first Division I scholarship offer before her first day of high school and had to pass on things like hanging out with friends due to being on the AAU grind since sixth grade. And after committing to play at Northeastern, Redcross would miss almost her entire college career due to a mountain of injuries -- multiple concussions, surgeries, and a broken back her senior year. But according to Redcross, who now works for the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers, she still loves the game and would do it all over again.
