Drink Talk

Episode 19 - 6/25/17 - Hosts Brian & Britt, with guest host Erika, return this week after a Father's Day break.  In this episode they talk about the pros and cons of trying to raise kids in the technology & digital age. Each of the hosts bring their own take on the topic, as they all are parents. Drinks for the topic are: Mule 2.0 Pre-Mixed Drink, Social Enjoyments Sparkling Sake Wine, and mixers Malfy Con Limone Gin and El Dorado 5 Year Cask Rum.

Episode 18 - 6/11/17 - Hosts Brian & Britt are joined by returning guest host, Mike, and newbie, Grant. In this episode, they tackle the topic of Net Neutrality and its impact on each of us. Furious by Surly, Delerium, and 312 by Goose Island are the drinks for the talk.

Episode 16, Part 2 - 6/4/2017 - Hosts Brian & Britt, with returning guest Rich, dive deeper into Fake News and its use as Propaganda. They also, oddly enough, spent some time on Flat Earth. Spytail Black Ginger Rum was the drink for this episode.

Episode 17 - 5/27/17 - Memorial Day Special - Host Brian & Britt offer a Memorial Day Tribute and discuss War. Soldier Valley Spirits Patriarch Whiskey and 10 Year Signature Rye Whiskey are the drinks for the show.

Episode 16 - 5/21/17 - Hosts Brian & Britt, with special guest host Rich and Mike, talk about the problem of Fake News. They explain what Fake News is and isn't, where it came from, how we got to where we are with Fake News, and things to come. They started off this talk with the king of all fake drinks, Absinth. This was followed by: Overrated by Surly, Bigfoot by Sierra Nevada, and Delicious by Stone.

Episode 15 - 5/14/17 - Brian & Britt with, guest host Erika, discuss the problem of Factory Farms. Drinks include: The Reaping by Farnam House Brewing Company, Blood Orange IPA by Tommyknocker, and Frame the Butcher by Kinkaider. Also, Erika comes up with her own drink mix.

Episode 14 - 5/7/2017 - No Topic. No agenda. Hosts Brian & Britt share a few of their favorite things when it comes to mixed drinks. They sample a few of their own mixes as well as Mojitos.  And for good measure, Britt threw in a couple shots. Good drinks and good stories.

Episode 13 - Brian & Britt share some Templeton Rye Whiskey and Buffalo Trace Bourbon (making Old Fashions) while delving into the "theory" of Chemtrails in the sky.

Episode 12, Part 2 - Driving Pet Peeves, Road Rage - 4/23/17 - Hosts Brian & Britt, with guest host Erik, talk about Aggressive Driving and Road Rage. Drinks for today include: Hop Stoopid from Lagunitas Brewing Company, Windows Up from Alpine Beer Company, Pompeii from Toppling Goliath Brewing Company and Mars from Bells Brewery.

4/16/17 - You down with DPP? Hosts Brian & Britt, with guest host (and brother-in-law) Erik, talk about a fair portion of Driving Pet Peeves. Everything from distracted driving to uselessly timed stop lights is on the agenda. The drinks for this talk were: Todd the Axe Man from Surly Brewing Company, Red Rambler from Peace Tree Brewing Company, and Rover Truck from Toppling Goliath. We ran a little over time, so we will be doing Part 2 next week.

Episode 11, Part 2 - 4/9/17 -Hosts Brian & Britt wrap up talking about Alternative Energy. Hydrogen, Nuclear, Future Energies, and Thorium are discussed while sipping on Kirkland Brand American Vodka. Apologies for repeating ourselves a bit at the end. The vodka was oh so good.

Episode 11 - 4/2/17 - Hosts Brian & Britt discuss the pros and cons of Alternative Energy technologies (Hydro, Wind, Solar, and Geothermal Energies) while partaking on drams of Knob Creek Smoked Maple Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.

Episode 10 - 3/19/17 - In this episode, hosts Brian & Britt with special recurring guest host Mike, talk about bill HR 1313 and its correlation to the movie Gattaca.  We will be sipping on Brickway's American Single Malt Whisky. We, also, end this episode with a tribute to the late Chuck Berry.

Episode 9 - 3/10/17 - No agenda this episode.  Brian & Britt with guest host Andrew talk about good beers and homebrewing.  We will be sampling Unbridled by Surly Brewing Company, Give Me IPA or Give Me Death by Stone Brewing Company, Invasion IPA by Mikkeller ApS, F5 IPA by Coop Ale Works, Yotus by Scriptown Brewing Company, Coconut Porter by our guest host Andrew, Superhop IPA by Stillwater Artisanal Ales, and Bell's Consecrator Doppelbock by Bell's Brewery Inc.

Episode 8 - Part 3 - 3/5/17 - The final episode of this mind blowing topic. Brian & Britt with special guest hosts Mike & Erika wrap up this topic and get into ways to protect yourself against ever increasing surveillance. The drink for this episode will again be our newly made drink "Secrets of Surveillance."

Episode 8 - Part 2 - 3/5/17 - WARNING Mind Blowing Episode - In this episode Brian & Britt with special recurring guests host Mike & Erika, continue to explore government surveillance. Mike, with his expertise, blows everyone's mind on how deep the rabbit hole of surveillance goes. The drink for this topic will be a mixed drink called "Alexander's Big Brother." We then tweak the recipe and call the new drink "Secrets of Surveillance."

Episode 8 - Part 1 - 2/26/17 - In this episode, hosts Brian & Britt with special guest host Erika, explore the rabbit hole topic of government surveillance. The drinks for this discussion will be Dorothy's New World Lager from Toppling Goliath Brewing Company and Dark Side Vanilla Porter from Empyrean Brewing Company.

Episode 7 - 2/19/2017 - In this episode, hosts Brian & Britt with special guest host Erik, talk about Globalsim. We get into the history, where we currently are, and where we are headed. During the discussion, we will be enjoying Space Dust IPA from Elysian Brewing company, Heineken Lager, The Devil's Rope from Ploughshare Brewing Company, and Galaxy on Fire from Knee Deep Brewing Company.

Episode 6 - 2/12/17 - In this episode we talk about Asteroid WF9 2016 which is supposed to "pass by" the Earth. There is some conspiracy about this, however.  While we discuss, we will be enjoying Hopscape from Samuel Adams, Longboard Island Lager from Kona Brewing Company, and PseudoSue from Toppling Goliath Brewing Company.
