02/04/2013 Duración: 09minTopic covered on today's episode of Mind Set Daily "Is Time Travel Real?" Few subjects in science evoke more emotion than time travel. Humankind's fascination with time travel dates back thousands of years. Although many people believe that time travel is strictly science fiction, it is not. Protocols for off-the-record chats already exist, and will ensure that conversations remain only between known parties, without someone else eavesdropping. What's this mean? 21/03/2013 Duración: 07minTopic covered on today's episode of Mind Set Daily "What Would We Do If The Internet Crashed?" If we all lose access to the Internet. If that were to happen, would we have a Plan B? In the 1970s and 1980s, a generous spirit suffused the internet, whose users were few and far between. But today, the net is ubiquitous, connecting billions of people, machines and essential pieces of infrastructure — leaving us vulnerable to cyber-attack or meltdown. Internet pioneer Danny Hillis argues that the Internet wasn’t designed for this kind of scale, and sounds a clarion call for us to develop a Plan B: a parallel system to fall back on should — or when — the Internet crashes. Dear Netizens, for your point of view. If our digital universe went away--what would you do? Do you believe it's even possible? Just think about it... Find out more by listening to this episode!
