On this episode of Real Girls of Fandom, I will talk about my largest issue with Star Trek: Discovery -- Michael Burnham - THE Michael Burnham -- who comes across as so non-fallacious that it's almost criminal. Why Am I Doing This Review? Wonder Woman is who I aspire to be -- beautiful and strong. She wants to save the world and believes in humanity. I love her for this. I love female superheroes and I really enjoyed the first Wonder Woman film. I wanted to watch WW84 to see what it was about -- director Patty Jenkins said it would contain a message badly needed in these times and I think needing the message is what drew me to this movie more than anything else. People hating WW84 don't understand its theme and tone. They don't understand how it links to the first movie. They only wanted to see Diana kick more ass on a battlefield for two hours. Too many folks are talking down on this movie and I'm fed up. This week's episode is about working around the kids. I have 4 sons (including twins). My youngest son lives with me and I see my oldest son regularly. My youngest son Elijah is 4 and my oldest son Andre is 14 so they are, of course, on opposite ends of the youth spectrum. While I'm dealing with Andre's issues with my transition and getting him the PS5 he wants for Christmas, I'm also figuring out how Elijah is going to school during the pandemic, getting him to sleep at night, and having his birthday at Chuck E. It took a long time to produce this show and an ever longer time to wait for a title and trailer for the ninth episode of the Star Wars saga. But all of those questions were answered at Star Wars Celebration this past weekend. The name of the upcoming film is The Rise of Skywalker. What the heck does it mean?
