The girls look back on past career challenges while working in male dominated fields, and discuss how to handle these. Anna wonders if she will ever be able to buy a fridge, and Sarah does some quick math to figure out how much she could have in savings by now. Hello everyone! This week, the girls get an email from a loyal listener mad girl who wants to talk about appropriate attire. This leads the discussion on how to dress for black tie preferred weddings (dudes, at least wear a tie), an interview for a new job ('skin tight' should not describe the skirt, ladies) and even a weekday happy hour (not to be confused with 'Saturday night'). The girls share some of the scariest fashion faux pas they've seen in the workplace, and all can agree that men have it worse when it comes to spending the most on wedding attire. Our advice: buy a tux, then simply stay the same weight and shape forever. No pressure! Welcome back! Adulting can be hard, especially that part where you try to have a life, but also need money so you have to work, so it's all about... how you say, work-life balance? Well, finding that balance can be a struggle as we all know! Which totally makes us mad. The girls speak to their own challenges with this in the medical, education and political spheres, and the elements that go into finding that sweet spot. Do you work weekends but love what you do? In this modern age of Instagram and Facebook overshares, it seems that engagements, weddings, showers, and bachelor/bachelorette parties have gotten more extreme, and more pricey. Like, Does anyone actually want to spend the equivalent of their unborn child's future college fund on one wedding day? Why are flowers alone $20,000?? Can someone please explain this! However, doing it for the 'gram takes its toll on the wedding guests as well.
