In Acts 6, the church was growing but there was a need in the church. Some of the people were not getting the necessary items that they needed. The twelve thought it would not be good that they left the Word of God to serve tables so they asked the disciples to look out amongst themselves to find someone they could appoint over the business so that they could get back to ministering the Word of God and prayer which was vital for this growing church. Pastor Dobbs teaches on the maturity of the disciples as they chose those who would be appointed over the business as he teaches us about maturing so that we can be used for the church with signs and wonders following. When someone mentions fall, it’s easy to think about bonfires, and for most people, it doesn’t matter what gets burned — whether it’s pine, grass trimmings or old furniture — to make one. If it will burn, it belongs on the burn pile. Unfortunately, that may also be our concept of what God thinks when He looks at us. When you compare His holiness with our sinfulness, it is easy to think that he just sees us all as fit for the burn pile. However, we forget that His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. He doesn’t think like we do. When Jesus looks at us, He sees our potential and possibilities; He sees a masterpiece just waiting for His craftsmanship. According to the Bible, we have been recreated in Christ, which means that He has taken us out of the burn pile and started the process of making us into something fit for the work of the Kingdom.

We will all experience trials and tribulations in this life. Don't suffer through them alone. Don't allow the enemy to sequester you so that you only hear his words. Call for prayer backup. Study the word. Spend time in prayer. Let Jesus give you the power and strength to fight! It's time for your backup. www.kingdomrock.org
