Diarmaid Ninian John MacCullouch  (31 October 1951) is a British ecclesiastic historian.  He is currently Professor of History of the Church at Oxford University and has been a Fellow of St. Cross College since 1995.  MacCulloch was elected a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London (FSA) in 1978, as a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society (FRHistS) in 1982, and as a Fellow of the British Academy (FBA) in 2001.  Outside of his many outstanding accomplishments he is an award winning author and New York Times Bestseller.  MacCullouch earned his BA (1972), MA (1976) and PhD (1977) from Cambridge University. USAF Brigadier General Robert S. Spalding III assumed the duties of Special Assistant to the U.S. Air Force Vice Chief of Staff in February 2018. General Spalding received his commission through Fresno State University's ROTC program in 1991. He earned his doctorate in economics and mathematics from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 2007. The general attended undergraduate pilot training in 1993, and was subsequently assigned as a B-52 Stratofortress co-pilot in the 5th Bomb Wing at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota.
