Why we need anarchy - venting
05/07/2022 Duración: 59minToday, after I share my weekend, I vent about the craziness going on in the US in regards to Row v Wade and the mass shootings in America. Our entire idea of democracy today is a complete joke. It's just not possible to have a democracy or any real freedom when millions of people are forced to live under the same rules and moral codes. Anarchy allows people to be people, to be empathetic, and removes the ability to force people to do what you want. We need anarchy, because that is the only way to ensure the freedom of all people, not just some. We need anarchy because it removes the structures of power. We need anarchy because it's best, historically proven, way to allow people the freedom they desire to exist how they want to exist.

LaMDA - The bigger problems folks aren't considering about 'sentient' AI
24/06/2022 Duración: 01h30minToday, I talk about AI and Google's LaMDA being in the news due to an engineer claiming that it is sentient. I go into a bit of depth about why we should be more concerned about how we understand sentience, why Google is building a natural language tool for general conversations in the first place, and what it might take to build a real artificial intelligence (spoiler: it would probably need to be organic, not stuck in a black box of code). https://youtu.be/2856XOaUPpg also, I can't believe I forgot to mention this, but here is a great video explaining why LaMDA is not sentient and not even AI: https://youtu.be/iBouACLc-hw
