It's Thanksgiving, and I'm sure many families will gather around a meal this weekend. Jesus has given the church a meaningful meal of its own, meant to be enjoyed frequently whenever gathered together: Communion! Today we learn exactly why it's so important.

Just over a year ago, we sent Lawrence & Liz Keen out to plant Two Rivers Church in Quesnel, BC. This Sunday they were able to join us and share all about what God has done in and through them this past year! This was our first LIVE and IN-PERSON service in over a year!

There's so much to say about this goodbye! This week we conclude our series out of 1 Peter, with Ryan looking at Peter's final words as he greets his readers. As a church that recently started gathering in-person again, there's lots of application in there for us.

This week Vic looks at the subject of leadership in the local church: who they are, what they do, and how they ought to do it.

Suffering is the gift...that nobody wants. And yet Peter has returned to this theme time and time again to encourage the church to not only be able to suffer, but suffer with joy.

What can we possibly learn from Peter's address to first-century slaves? How can we trust the Bible since it doesn't seem to abolish it at all? We look at slavery, subjection and suffering.

This week we have a special guest: Alan Frow, from Southlands Church in Orange County, California.

Peter touches on the issue of civil obedience. How are we as Christians to submit to both earthly institutions as well as to God's rule in our lives? Especially if they are in conflict with each other? And how are we to endure suffering as a result of our faith in the society we live in?
