Sinopsis
On this week's episode of Kickin & Streamin Podcast, Graham & Jocelyn review the HBO Max documentary film The Janes. The film introduces the audience to a group of ordinary women who created a vast network of abortionists in Chicago during the late 60's and early 70's to provide safe and affordable illegal abortion to women in need. The documentary offers first-hand account by the women known as 'The Janes,' now in their late sixties and seventies, along with footage and interviews with law enforcement officers of the era. Graham & Jocelyn also had a discussion about the overturn of Roe v Wade ruling by the United States Supreme Court. Roe v Wade was a ruling by the same court in 1973 which guaranteed a woman's constitutional right to an abortion. Listen to this episode and feel free to tell us your opinion.
