Keelon Brookins joined the Kent State coaching staff  as cornerbacks coach in January of 2022. Brookins came to Kent State from the University of Northern Iowa where he coached the defensive backs from 2019-2021. Brookins oversaw a unit that was top-20 in the FCS in interceptions and defensive pass efficiency. Prior to his time at UNI, Brookins coached at the University of Central Missouri, where he was a graduate assistant and coached cornerbacks and played collegiately for Wisconsin as well as Northern Iowa as a graduate transfer and earned a spot on the All-Newcomer team for the Missouri Valley Conference. Today Coach Brookins joins us to discuss how he coaches the cornerbacks from building relationship to game day adjustments and everything in between.
