Gerald Leo Posner (born May 20, 1954) is an investigative journalist, author and former Wall Street attorney.  A native of San Francisco, CA, Posner was a Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of California at Berkeley (1975).  He was also a national debating champion at this time,  winning the Meiklejohn Award.  Posner went on to receive a JD from UC Hastings, Berkeley. Perhaps most notably of yet, is his New York Times bestselling book: Case Closed: Lee Harvey Oswald and the Assassination of JFK (1993), which digs into the John F. Kennedy assassination.  Gerald followed that up with the book: Killing the Dream: James Earl Ray and the Assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. (1998).  In 2015 Posner released: God's Bankers: A History of Money and Power at the Vatican.  This work became Posner's third NY Times Bestseller.
