Russ Haslage (HASS ledge) worked with ‘Star Trek’ creator to form The Federation, a non-profit organization that helps people in need around the world. Celebrating his 40th anniversary at the helm of the organization, Haslage also is the senior program manager for the Subspace Radio Network. The station, owned by The Federation, was created to bolster communications to Federation members and the public around the world. Called a child prodigy in UFO investigation by Dr. J. Allen Hynek in the 70’s, Haslage played a part in investigating during the UFO flap of that decade. His interests turned from UFO’s to more earthly humanitarian missions after the premier of ‘Star Trek: The Motion Picture’ in 1979. In 1983, Haslage decided that the ideals of the Federation as seen in ‘Star Trek’ needed to be active in
