NICE’s recent recommendations in its guideline on the assessment and management of chronic pain have generated a lot of debate. In this episode, we talk with two member of the committee who developed the guideline recommendations. They are Cathy Stannard, a pain consultant in Gloucestershire and who was the clinical lead on the NICE chronic pain guideline committee. And Colin Wilkinson, who was a lay member on the guideline committee.
