The Double Happiness: Live at The Zoo, Fortitude Valley, 9 August 2019 The Double Happiness are a Brisbane band formed in 2016 by two married couples, featuring Kristin & Pete Fergusson on vocals and guitars while Meg & Simon Welchman make up the rhythm section on bass and drums. Members of the band previously played in other groups dating back to the '80s and '90s, such as Splat Acrobat and Fugitive Microbes. In 2018 The Double Happiness released their debut EP, "City", on Valley Heat Records. Follow-up album "Surfgazing" was named after the combination of genres the band take influence from: surf-rock and shoegaze. The album was released in 2020 on 4000 Records. Includes an interview and in-studio acoustic performance with The Double Happiness originally recorded for Exit Stage Zed.
