Go Go Fish: What started out as a new project between self-confessed music geeks Scott Mercer & Ash Shanahan in 2011, has blossomed into a harmonious four-piece garage-pop outfit that goes by the name of ‘Go Go Fish’, adding Angela Hibbard and Murray Bowler to the fold a year later to fill out their desired sound. Sighting Sonic Youth as an influence, which you’ll get to sample in this particular set, they also wear the sound of other Brisbane pop-rock bands such as Iron On and Screamfeeder on their collective sleeves. They’ve just released their second EP, titled ‘If I Go Down I’m Taking You With Me’. It will also be their last release, as some of the members will be jetting off overseas to pursue other endeavors.
