Abstract Mutation: Abstract Mutation is the pseudonym of NZ-born Melbourne-based producer James Grant. His music sits somewhere between Acid House and Techno, and incorporates incessant loops, mechanical hi-hats and fuzzy synths. His most recent release on 1080p – the label of Rose Quartz’ Richard MacFarlane – sounds like a dancier Pye Corner Audio exploring themes of surveillance and digital environments.
