White Lodge: Hailing from Queensland’s cultural house of mirrors, The Gold Coast, White Lodge have covered a lot of ground in a short amount of time. Only forming in 2013 they’ve already had a 7” split record with Taiwan’s Forests. They take a leaf from the books of recently acclaimed acts like Yuck, Ty Segall and White Lung. Meanwhile, they’ve been lessening the wait between their Brisbane shows. It’s hard for a young band like White Lodge to get a break on The Gold Coast. A lack of venues willing to give new alternative bands a go makes the metropolis of Brisbane seem like a cultural safe-haven. Recorded & mixed by Cameron Smith.
