Dollar Bar: Dollar Bar formed back in 1998 when Dale Peachey wanted to get a revolving band behind his Guided By Voices and Kurt Vonnegut inspired pop songs. That was the general idea until he got Patrick McCabe, Brendan Rosenstengel and Chris Yates involved, and they’ve stuck together ever since. Well, if you ignore the six years that they were on hiatus. The second coming of Dollar Bar has been very fruitful for the band; since getting back together they’ve released a compilation of old demos, a split cassette with Little Lovers and a sophomore album entitled Paddington Workers Club. The album was released on Brisbane’s Mere Noise records and has lapped up plenty of acclaim over the last 6 months. Recorded by Joshua Watson & Mino Peric. Mixed by Branko Cosic.
