Amateur Childbirth: Amateur Childbirth is the stage name of Brisbane artist Ivan Matthew. Influenced by the work of Henry Miller, he’s an artist unafraid to delve into uncomfortable subject, illuminating everyday events with a cynical but earnest take on modern society – done all with just an acoustic guitar. Live Delay were fortunate to be present to record Amateur Childbirth when he took the stage at Tribal Theatre back in May 2013 as part of the Guilt Retreat – a multi-disciplinary visual and musical arts series.
