UMass Lowell Track and Field sprinter Jeandre Abel sat down with the LIT crew recently to talk about his journey from small-town Wilmington to Division I athletics. Jeandre spoke about what it was like to grow up black in a predominately white suburb; his experiences walking on to a Division I team; and what it was like to be cast in the high school musical his senior year.
