Carlos Sanchez, a staple of the NYC underground dance community for over 40 years is in renal failure. He needs a kidney transplant. He has recently started dialysis and has been placed on the donor list. He has been battling a multiplicity of health concerns for several years now. His diligent self-care has allowed him to meet these challenges thus far.The only solution for this is an organ transplant. There are friends in his life that volunteered to donate a kidney, that would go to a bank, and a subsequent match might be forthcoming. I don’t have to tell you how medical expense and aftercare can bankrupt a person in these circumstances. The intent is to raise funds to support and position him financially to be in a position to handle the expenses he will incur going through dialysis and through surgery.
