Locked On Red Sox

The Red Sox (82-68) scored 6 runs in the 1st Inning and avoided being swept at home by the New York Yankees by taking the series finale- 6-4, at Fenway Park Sunday night.  With Sunday's win, the Red Sox avoided being swept at home for the 2nd time this season and are 1.5 games behind the Yankees for the 1st American League Wild Card. The Red Sox clinched a winning record for the first time since 2021 when the club went 92-70 and lost in the ALCS to the Houston Astros. Aroldis Chapman worked a 1-2-3 9th to slam the door shut on the Yankees.  -----Crochet Day: Garrett Crochet was staked to an early 6-0 lead and improved to 16-5 on the season (3-0 vs. Yankees) in earning the win in Sunday's finale. Crochet gave up 3 earned runs over 6 Innings of work.  He walked 1 and matched a season-high with 12 strikeouts. It's Crochet's 2nd straight game with 10 or more strikeouts and 8th time for 2025.  Crochet gave up Home Runs to Amed Rosario and Aaron Judge.  It's the 4th time this season where Crochet gave up 2 or more
