Locked On Red Sox

The Red Sox (80-65) won their 2nd straight with a (7-0) win over the Athletics in the series opener at Sutter Health Park in Sacramento, California Monday night.  It's the Sox 80th win of the season. The club did not reach 80 wins until their 158th game on September 24 last season. The Sox are 2-2 on their current 6-game road trip.   -----Crochet Day: Garrett Crochet turned in a terrific performance in notching his 15th win of the season on Monday night's series opener. Crochet allowed 3 Hits over 7 scoreless innings. He walked no one, struck out 10 and registered 21 swings and misses.  It is Crochet's 11th win on the road and it's his 5th scoreless outing of the season.
