Locked On Red Sox

The Red Sox (89-73) were shutout 4-0 by the Yankees in Game 3 of the American League Wild Card Series Thursday night at Yankee Stadium. The Sox won Game 1, but the Yankees evened up the series at 1-1 with their win in Game 2 Wednesday night and advanced to the ALDS against the Blue Jays with the win in Game 3.     ----- Rookie on the Hill: Rookie Connelly Early showed great poise over the 1st 3 Innings on the mound, but he was unable make it out of the 4th Inning in his 1st career Postseason outing. Early was charged with 4 runs (all in the 4th) and 3 earned runs over 3.2 Innings. He walked 1 and struck out 6. Early worked around a leadoff Double from Giancarlo Stanton in the 2nd Inning. ----- Sox at the Dish: The Sox recorded only 5 hits, all Singles, over the 1st 8 Innings against rookie Cam Schlittler.
