The Red Sox (89-73) lost Game 2 of the American League Wild Card Series with a 4-3 setback against the Yankees Wednesday night at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. Austin Wells had a 2-out RBI Single off of Garrett Whitlock in the Bottom of the 8th Inning to put the Yankees up a run. David Bednar retired the side 1-2-3 in the Top of the 9th to close the door on the Sox. The decisive Game 3 will take place Thursday night at Yankee Stadium. ----- Bello & the Pen: Brayan Bello lasted only 2.1 Innings and threw 28 total pitches in his 1st career Postseason start. Bello gave up a 2-out, 2-run Home Run in the 1st Inning to Ben Rice. He exited with 2 on and gave way to Justin Wilson in the 3rd Inning. Wilson retired lefty hitters Cody Bellinger and Rice.
