Sinopsis
A Clare haulier claims people in his line of work aren't being given any incentives to embrace sustainable fuel alternatives. The Irish Road Haulage Assocation claims its industry is being "strangled by excessive taxation" and is calling on the Government to implement a number of measures in the Budget to ensure its survival. Among these is the introduction of a rebate on the non-fossil fuel component of diesel to encourage the uptake of lower-carbon fuels while mitigating additional costs. Former IRHA President, Ennis haulier Eugene Drennan, says they don't feel as if they're getting value for money.
