D. A. Powell’s books include Tea, Lunch, Cocktails and Chronic. Chronic was named one of the Best Books of the Year by The Los Angeles Times, The Kansas City Star, and Publishers Weekly. A finalist for both the Publishers Triangle and the National Book Critics Circle Awards, the volume of political and personal poems went on to receive the Northern California Book Award and the Gold Medal in Poetry from the California Commonwealth Club.
