Inclusive design considers products for people across a varying range of abilities. Jessica Armstrong, a PhD student in the Design Core of the Department of Mechanical, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, is developing a framework for product designers to implement inclusive design by placing human subjects in a motion-restriction suit to simulate limited upper-body mobility.
