The movement of different water masses at the surface of the ocean affects heat and oxygen exchanges between the ocean and atmosphere. Jenessa Duncombe, a Masters student in Physical Oceanography, uses modeling and analytical techniques to better understand how surface ocean circulation is accounted for in global climate change models to improve their accuracy.
