Daniel WatkinsTesting Arctic Climate Models: How Much Detail Can We Capture?

Informações:

Sinopsis

Arctic sea ice is decreasing quickly as temperatures throughout the region continue to rise. Daniel Watkins, a PhD student in the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences, discusses how he analyzes climate model output and temperature and sea ice data from specific sites across the Arctic. This will allow him to assess how accurate Arctic climate models are at finer-scale resolutions, and shed light on what this means for Arctic communities that depend on sea ice and marine wildlife for their livelihoods.
