SHOW NOTES Everyone who loves the agricultural lifestyle and is looking for a way to farm, either on the side or full-time, understands the obstacles to entry and the struggles to succeed. The differences in the ways that people are going about this, the sizes of farms and the levels of experience could not be more varied. So, it is hard to really describe one type of farmer that really represents everyone who loves this life. In today's episode I am going to interview a farmer who I believe comes as close as you can get to the avatar of the American farmer. I am going to be speaking with Caitlyn Henderson. Caitlyn and her husband, Jake, are farming row crops and raising cattle in South Central Kansas. Caitlyn had never farmed until she married Jake, but she grew up in Anthony, Kansas which is an agriculturally based town, and she was in the FFA.
