A new initiative called 'Coffee with a cop' is trying to overcome old resentments towards police - ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ಆಗಮಿಸುವವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರಿಗೆ ಪೋಲೀಸರ ಮುಖ ನೋಡುವುದು ಬಲು ಭೀತಿಯ ಅನುಭವ. ಅಂತಹ ಭೇಟಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ನಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿನ ಲಂಚಗುಳಿತನ ಅಥವಾ ಜರುಗಿದ ಅನ್ಯಾಯದ ನೆನಪು ತರುತ್ತದೆ. ಪೊಲೀಸರನ್ನು ಕಂಡಾಗ ಉಂಟಾಗುವ ಹಳೇ ಅಸಮಾಧಾನದ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆಯನ್ನು ತೊಡೆದು ಹಾಕುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವಾಗಿ 'ಕಾಫಿ ವಿತ್ ಎ ಕಾಪ್' ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರಿನ ಒಂದು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
