Like the title says, this live show was performed and recorded in 1989, staged as a mock radio broadcast to entertain the ladies of "WAVES National", an organization whose members had served or were still serving in the U.S. Navy. This show marks the first time I created an audio performance, and it would be roughly a dozen years before I did it again. The performers are 26-year-old me and my good friend at the time, John Bayer, who was about the same age, probably. He shared my love of old-time radio and we had a lot of fun putting on this show, playing all of the characters the way radio comedy pioneers Bob & Ray would. I lost touch with John Bayer after leaving Atlanta, but I hope he finds out about this and gets a chance to listen to it. Likewise, I hope you enjoy the younger version of myself, who was serving in the Navy at the time.
