The Rays open the season 5-2 despite a 1-0 extra inning loss on Wednesday. The pitching staff has given up 11 runs in 7 games, the defense has been terrific and the hitting timely in most games. They can't ask for a better start after last year when they started 1-7 and 4-13. The Lightning are less than a week from the playoffs and the defensive breakdowns are starting to become more common but should we be concerned.
