God has a gift for all that scripture says is salvation through Jesus. Most Bible versions will state that this is a free gift. However, the word "free" isn't in the original language. It simply says 'gift of God'. Scripture says there is no way to 'earn' salvation and that salvation is truly a gift of God. So, what does the phrase "gift of God" mean? Here are some thoughts...
