Sega Mixer Drive... With Rexy

People asked for this, and now it happened - the return of the Genre based weeks in Season 1, now known as the 'Mystery Mix' - 2 hours of remixes done in a certain genre. Tonight, it's peers with guitars - get ready to air shred!

This edition of SMD saw the Newsdrive segment returning after a month's absence, a debate on what to expect from a remix... and THAT ONE NEW TRACK that hit our host in the feels. Yes, even a regular show would result in an element of surprise!

With one day before Valentine's Day, SMD set the mood to counter an equally-bitter-feeling Friday the 13th with lots of warm, romantic and occasionally cute remixes to take people through the night. Oh, and there's some hot news about Bayonetta too...!

Out of the chaos of preparing for the London Anime Con that weekend, Rexy was on hand to offer 2 hours of Sega arrange tunes that stemmed convention hype, a source guessing game of sorts and... rolling on Summer? Isn't it too soon for that yet?

Are you sitting comfortably? Then let's begin... assuming there's not a little kid in sight, that is. This extra edition of SMD featured tracks that wouldn't get played during the main show for one reason alone - adult-centric content. Lock the doors now!

100 episodes, but a lifetime of memories - this week's show focused on some of the most defining moments of the series, music that marked its strongest points... and a karaoke version of a certain Sonic Paradox fan favorite... in any case, let's party!

As MAGFest weekend happened, Rexy remained on hand to look after those staying behind. In addition to a fun music selection, this show also introduced the 'ChartStoppers' RS Top 40 tie-in segment - 3 of the many arrange tunes that hit this week's chart!

This week, Rexy was joined by GameChops founder Dj CUTMAN for a show based on said record label. There were previews played from their Sonic album Spindash, plus a discussion on the site's origins, the album creation and roster... and bLiNd's Blue Balls?!

You didn't think it'd be gone after the Season Finale, did you? SEGA Mixer Drive had a special broadcast during WinterFest 2014 - not only was it 2 hours of remixes with a more festive flavor, but prizes were given away on the night! Merry Christmas!

Another year gone - the Season 2 Finale, true to its name, looked back at many talkbed highlights and events throughout the year, as well as an ensemble of memorable new releases - some of these even picked by the audience! But where has the year gone?!

A listening party close to the end of the Season. Familiar? In this week's SMD, the audience heard the entirety of the Sound of the Sonic Stadium '14 there FIRST! And with DJ EAR in the co-host spot this week, it could only mean insanity... and turducken.

The last Free-For-All of the season saw pre-release hype for the Sound of the Sonic Stadium '14, some teasing with the Source Roulette and the outputs of the latest Punchfest competition. Most importantly, Rexy defied the oral surgeons and hosted it LIVE!

Slap between the Japanese and European anniversaries, this week's SMD blast-processed beats out of the Mega Drive. Enjoy 2 hours of remixes covering some of the 16-bit system's finest works and soundtracks - if you're a 90s kid, you're in for a treat!

Happy Halloween! This week's episode is dedicated to Sega remixes with a sinister undead theme, whether by source or by mix direction. Tricks and treats were aplenty, though one lucky IRC goer got more treats this week than they bargained for...!

Still exciteable after the events of Play Expo earlier that month, Rexy not only had tales to tell from the event but also delivering 2 hours of remixes including another tough Source Roulette, a lot of bounces, and... Marble Zone being the new Ice Cap?!
