This week on the show we try to make up for our lost show last week and have our LONGEST SHOW EVER! We do our midseason check-up and see where the Divisions are and may be headed. Which teams are firming their grip on playoff spots and which ones will be fighting until the last week to make it to the dance?

It’s the halfway point in the NFL and we lost an entire show of us running down where the divisions and teams are at the midpoint due to technical difficulties, so, not wanting to leave you guys with nothing, we did a quick run down of the picks of the week.

We take a look at an NFL that seems to be giving us two different leagues for the price of one. In one league we have teams that look impervious and dominant, and in the other league, those same teams lose to underachieving teams or come out in the second half of games like someone switched places with them at halftime. How can we be certain of anything in today’s NFL?

It’s getting to be that time of the year where teams who are starting to turn the corner need to step up or wait for next season. We take a look at the match ups this week that may make or break some teams season.

Another underachieving week in the NFL. There were many teams who blew leads or just didn't put their best foot forward. This has lead to a number of teams that are considered to be "top teams" to have mediocre or losing records while other teams have benefited and are riding a superb record coming out of the first quarter of the season.

The sad reality is, the season is already a quarter over! With four games in the bag for nearly every team, we have a much more clear view of how the divisions are shaping up. There are more 2-2 teams than ever and some teams records we find deceiving and some we find overly generous. Join us as we go division by division and give you where we think the teams in these divisions will wind up based on what we've seen so far.

It seemed it was opposite day in the NFL on Sunday; good teams playing poorly, bad teams playing well. It was almost as if anything was possible on this “any given Sunday”. We take a look at a lot of the surprises along with some of the teams that defied the trend.

Week two in the NFL brings us a lot more questions with more teams than ever before being 1-1. Good teams playing not-so-well and teams that were thought to not have a prayer this season, showing up to play. We try to weed through all the parity and discern where the truth lies.

After a week one in which some teams came out hot and others came out cold, it’s hard to tell which teams were truly not meeting expectations and which were just shaking the rust off. What things can we take from the weekend as “sure things”? Are the Patriots really the best team in the league — ESPN thinks so? Do the 49ers have any holes? Has the Cowboys defense finally arrived? Are the offenses of the Jets, Ravens, and Falcons for real? We discuss!

We take a look at the start of the NFL season and give our predictions on which players will stand out and which players will fall flat. Hear our picks for outstanding Rookies, Defensive and Offensive players, Coach of the Year, Comeback Player of the Year, MVP, and, of course, our woeful attempts at picking this years Super Bowl match up.

This week on the show we take a look at the games from week three of the preseason. We finally get to see some promise from some teams as they put their best foot forward, while others seem to land on their face.

Week 2 of the preseason seemed to answer a lot of questions about quarterback competitions around the league. Coaches are naming starters and the number of real competitions is dwindling – but were the right choices made? This week we break down which starters have the tools to succeed and try to figure out the teams motivations for choosing who they chose.

Week 1 of the preseason has ended and there is a lot to be hopeful for and worried about for many teams. What teams excited us in a semi-meaningless week of football and which teams really landed flat? What can fans and analysts really gather from looking at this week and what really matters besides injuries?

With the first official football game behind us, we discuss the impact that replacement referees could have along with which games may be worth watching this preseason due to the number of off season story-lines.

We wrap up the off season by hitting on some of the actual news items that have been hitting the airwaves in training camps and try to determine which stories are news and which are hype. We also take a look at the Hall of Fame Game, kicking off actual NFL football (or something that resembles it). What is it’s purpose? Is it needed? It seems like a very cool idea to play a game at the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but is it fair to ask two teams to play yet another preseason game?

We conclude our Divisional countdown with the tough NFC East. This division provided the Super Bowl champion last year and it looks like improvements across the board will make whoever takes the crown a tough out in the playoffs.

The NFC North is ready to rumble. With three strong playoff contenders in the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, and Detroit Lions, we take a look to see if any of them have the makings of a Super Bowl contender.

It's gonna be a throw-down in the AFC North. For years this division has produced multiple playoff contenders and some of the most hotly contested division titles in recent memory. Who has the edge this year as all four teams made significant changes and improvements in the off season?

Are the Panthers defense and Cam Newton ready to make that next step? Will the Saints off-the-field distractions be too much to overcome? Did the Falcons do enough in the off season to help protect Matt Ryan? Did the Buccaneers overhaul make them a dangerous team? We hit all of these questions and more, this week.

We leave the AFC for the first time to cover a division that, just a few years ago, was at the bottom of the NFL. That isn't the case anymore. With team improvements to the players on the field and the re-tooling of some front offices, this division is setting itself up to be a power in the NFC for some time.
