The two John's are on this week, joined by special guest Iain Emerson who is editor of the Tartan Army magazine. The podcast leads with Iain giving us an insight to what is included in the magazine. He informs us it's for the fans by the fans. If you have any articles you want included or anything else Tartan Army related then get in touch at tartanarmymagazine.com or on social media where they are on Facebook and Twitter. It's a good week for him to be on with Alex McLeish leaving the Scotland job for a second time. It's no real surprise. The guys discuss who they'd like to see as manager going forward and whether a non Scot would be accepted. The two John's cover the Premiership with there being some talking points with regards to Steve Clarke's comments. Aberdeen got a crucial victory in battle for third place. The Glasgow teams both visited Edinburgh with Rangers getting the better result. It means Celtic will be delayed in their quest to secure the league. In the bottom half, St Mirren picked up what cou

It's the regular trio back on this week with Krys being rather happier than the two John's. The podcast starts with a review of what's gone on in the lower leagues. Congratulations to Arbroath and wee Dick in securing the League One title. We're recording as Morton play Inverness in the Championship. There's plenty still to be decided. The finalists of the Scottish Cup were decided with both favourites going through. It's now up to Hearts to try and stop the treble treble. Krys enjoys getting the two John's to talk about the second semi. Unfortunately there is yet more talk about sectarian abuse. We preview the upcoming Premiership games with talk about King's statement of Rangers being on verge of domination. Talk leads to some of the funniest things we've seen on twitter this week. The podcast concludes with some European chat and a happy ending for the two John's. Tweet us @sffpodcastFacebook - Scottish Football ForumsInstagram - sffpodcast

It's the two John's on this week and were joined by a returning guest Andy. We give him his full title as he is an award winning journalist. We start off by covering the Championship as Andy has been covering that league in depth this season. This is due to him being based in the Highlands. It's an alternative way to start and enjoyable to get more insight in to the league. It's going to be some end to the season with all teams having something to play for. Once this has been covered, we focus on the battle to avoid relegation with there being all to play for still. At the top of the table, Celtic continue to stumble over the finish line and Aberdeen got their first home league win of 2019. It looks like Rangers are close to securing second but plenty of football to be played before European spots are decided. The chat links in well with the upcoming Scottish Cup semis which John B has covered on his blog. Will we see an upset or two or will the favourites go through? Andy gives us an insight in to the build

The two John's are rejoined by Krys, who is back from his holidays. St Mirren bounced back from Simeone Jackson's failed Panenka attempt in Perth to defeat Dundee in the Basement Battle, overhauling Jim McIntyre's men into 11th place. Hamilton's leaky defence was exposed by Kilmarnock, who cruised to a 5-0 win to move into third. It was a good weekend for the Capital sides with Hibs and Hearts claiming 2-1 wins, closing in on 4th place Aberdeen in the process. Motherwell kept their outside top six aspirations alive with a comfortable win at home to St Johnstone. The third Old Firm meeting was again not short of incident. What value is Alfredo Morelos given his lack of discipline and lack of productivity in big games? Celtic moved to within three wins of an 8th consecutive title with a late James Forrest winner. In the Championship, the battle for survival intensified with just five points separating five teams, whilst Ross County maintained a two point lead with two games in hand despite losing to Alloa. 25/03/2019 Duración: 47min

It's the two John's on this week in the week that no one wants to probably talk about the national team. A dire situation with few signs that things are progressing under McLeish. Was Thursday's result the worst in our history? It didn't get much better on Sunday but at least they won. The guys discuss what could have gone better. The lower leagues are covered with the season getting close to deciding who plays where next season. This leads on to the usual Pyramid chat and what may happen next season. We wrap up by congratulating Ross County on their Challenge Cup win and giving a preview of the weekend's Premiership return. 18/03/2019 Duración: 01h25s

It's the two John's on this week as Krys takes a break. Plenty to cover with the action from last midweek with the quarter final replays. Aberdeen continued their fine form in Glasgow against the odds while Hearts were fortunate in other game. Hibs continued their unbeaten league run since Heckinbottom took charge. The man that left Hibs saw his team get another late winner as they move closer to winning the title. Rangers continue their winless run as they struggle with physical contests. Aberdeen saw their woes at home continue and Hamilton hot another crucial win in battle to avoid the drop. The lower leagues didn't see too much change at the top due to so few games being played. There is some Scotland chat ahead of the double header. John B covers the polls that have been running on social media in terms of how many points we'll get. John B concludes the podcast with his football travels taking him to Preston. Thanks for listening. Tweet us @sffpodcastFacebook - Scottish Football ForumsInstagram - sffpodc

  • S8E35 A Real Six Pointer

    11/03/2019 Duración: 01h18min

It's the naughty boys on this week as Krys and John are let loose. John B handed in a sick note with no explanation. They lead with the Celtic v Aberdeen game which didn't amount to much. Unfortunately Friday night saw further crowd trouble as Hibs fan invaded the pitch and tackled Tavernier. Maybe this will finally lead to some rule changes in terms of how these matters are dealt with. Motherwell's young guns continue to impress in the week that Hastie was linked with a move away. The lower leagues are covered with most of the entertainment coming in lower end of Championship as relegation battle gets more interesting. Albion Rovers won two games in one day hence the podcast title. The Scottish Cup semis are previewed with most of the media talk revolving around it being a massive game for Rangers on Tuesday. The podcast ends with some Scotland news in terms of McGregor retiring and 80s random chat. Tweet us @sffpodcastFacebook - Scottish Football ForumsInstagram - sffpodcast

  • S8E34 Mud in the Eye

    05/03/2019 Duración: 01h21min

It's the regular trio on as they discuss what's been going on in Scottish football and a fair bit of random chat too. They gloss over the midweek fixtures with main exception of the Celtic game and being Rodgered by Brendan. Who would have imagined that Lennon would return? It was the quarter finals of the Scottish Cup so that obviously dominates the chat this week. There were more unsavoury incidents off the pitch which is deflecting from the great stuff happening on the pitch. We're recording as the draw for the semis is being done and Good John got his predictions spot on. The lower leagues are covered which continue to be as exciting as what's going on in the top flight. There are a couple tributes paid with sad news of couple of deaths involving people involved in Scottish football. This leads us on to some random 90s music chat. It's #nationalpieweek so send us photos of your best pies to any of social media platforms we're on. Tweet us @sffpodcastFacebook - Scottish Football ForumsInstagram - sffpodcas

    26/02/2019 Duración: 01h36min

It's the two John's and Krys on this week as they discuss what's been going on in Scottish football. There's just a wee bit to talk about with events off the pitch unfortunately dominating the discussion. We start off with the Scottish Cup replay between the Highland teams and what's been going on in the lower leagues. The main topic of discussion is the events involving Steve Clarke. This leads on to a pretty lengthy chat about sectarianism in Scottish football. We eventually get back to talking about events on the park in an eventful week in the Premiership. Hibs continued their good form under their new manager and St Mirren got another good result away from home. Shinnie at Aberdeen answered some of his critics regarding his contract situation and Livingston got their first win of 2019. On Sunday, there were convincing wins for the Glasgow teams and another bit of controversy with Motherwell's goal. The podcast concludes with some random chat which is standard. It was such a long podcast I've probably for

  • S8E32 Hug and Kiss it Out

    20/02/2019 Duración: 01h27min

It's the two John's on this week for another therapy session. They do as much as they can to divert the attention from the Aberdeen game at the weekend. The podcast launches with discussion on a number of club statements this week relating to refereeing and events off the pitch. There was yet again an incident in terms of coin throwing with Kris Boyd being the victim this time. The match itself had a last minute winner which led to other issues. It was a disappointing weekend for most of the teams in the top six as they dropped points. Motherwell continue their fine form which leads to some discussion about them and what has helped transform their season. We discuss the various polls this week we've had on social media with some interesting results. We'd love it if we had some more interaction on all the media platforms we're on so feel free to contact us with any comments or thoughts. The chat finishes off with how things are looking in the lower leagues and what may happen next season in terms of the Pyrami

  • S8E31 Ain't That a Kick in the Head

    12/02/2019 Duración: 01h06min

This week, Krys hosts and is joined by John and Aldo. Or Alan, we can't quite decide what to call him. Well, John can... Having done the midweek podcast to cover off the league fixtures, we have a quick skim over the lower league action before diving into the eight Scottish Cup ties. On Saturday there were some powerful prangs in Paisley, some kung-fu kicks in Kilmarnock, a mental maelstrom in Methil, and some easy 'eaders in Edinburgh. Nearly managed some nice alliteration there! Sunday gave us a couple of thirty yard screamers as well as a Glasgow chip in Edinburgh. You can do your own salt and vinegar or salt and sauce jokes now. Monday night's Highland derby didn't disappoint either, and then just before recording the podcast we had the Quarter Final draw where just about everyone will be disappointed for one reason or another. We also look ahead to Celtic in European action against Valencia, as well as the big action ahead next weekend. Thanks as always for listening! Tweet us @sffpodcastFacebook - Scott

  • S8E30 Cathartic Seamill Experience

    08/02/2019 Duración: 01h34min

It's the two John's on our second podcast of the week which is a bonus depending on who you support. You may need to listen to it in two halves as it's a long one. We lead with the Aberdeen v Rangers game which lasts a while due to the amount of incidents. The game was probably up there with game of the season though hard one to take as an Aberdeen fan. Morelos saw red for third time in this fixture this season. Celtic continue to stroll though 2019 as they continue their clean sheet run. Motherwell are showing you can win with youth as they see benefit of Hastie's introduction to the team along with Turnbull and Campbell. Livi got back to basics which they needed to arrest the slump. At the bottom end, Hamilton look transformed and have an attacking threat, as do Dundee. St Mirren look favourites to go down now. As per usual the chat turns to referees and the job they do and decision making. We also talk about pundits who are involved with teams and their lack of impartiality in the media. The podcast takes

  • S8E29 Penalty Rangers

    04/02/2019 Duración: 01h26min

It's the regular trip on as the two John's and Krys are on together for the first time this year. We recording the podcast an hour or so after Steve Conroy came out and said there is a need for more transparency. This leads on to our weekly chat about bad refereeing decisions. Steve Clarke came out with need for consistency. It's a penalty to Rangers was a popular phrase on Saturday as they were awarded four penalties. The guys discuss how many of them Dallas called right and the one he missed. It was a good week for Hearts and Motherwell as they both continued their fine form. The two John's discuss Aberdeen's week as one was at the cup game and other was at the league game against Hibs. St Johnstone must be sick of the sight of Celtic so it's lucky they don't play them again till.... Sunday. The rest of the league fixtures in the Premiership are covered along with some of the January transfers. The farce of the cup and having non Scottish teams involved in the Challenge Cup has led to Bohemians withdrawing.

  • S8E28 Gerrard's Land Rover

    28/01/2019 Duración: 01h01min

This week we're one John down, with Krys returning to join John and Aldo who stays on from last week. It's double bubble with two rounds of fixtures to cover, including both midweek and weekend league fixtures as the Premiership returns from the winter break. There's rumours abound as to what has happened at Hibernian, humble pie is consumed around Jordan Jones, Celtic are routinely winning games they need to win, while the title race is a four horse race... at least for now. We discuss which two from three will be going down, or at least end up in the playoff and whether Motherwell are actually consigned to ninth place. We wonder how some managers seem to be able to get away with slagging off their players while others don't. We also wonder why we can't remember any awful refereeing decisions this week. We probably forgot some penalty decisions to be honest. There's also some Scottish Cup chat with the two replays and one rearranged fixture to come this midweek, as well as Celtic and St Johnstone playing the

  • S8E27 Talbot Flying Over Ayr

    22/01/2019 Duración: 01h19min

It's the two John's on and they're joined by a debutant in Killie fan Aldo. The podcast starts off with a bit of therapy for Aldo in the week that Greg Stewart returned to Aberdeen on loan instead of Kilmarnock. Aldo also vents his frustration with regards to the Jordan Jones situation. We spoke about cup shocks last week and the first game that was played saw one of the biggest shocks the cup has seen for a while. Talbot overcame the odds and made a lot of punters a lot of money. Craig McCracken was the hero as he has been previously in big games such as the Junior Cup final last season. It was some day in Auchinleck and the atmosphere carried long in to the night. History was made as they won against a Senior team in the Scottish Cup for the first time and will return to Tynecastle where they were robbed of a replay in 2012. There were a few other shocks as East Fife won and Partick Thistle actually won a game. There were routine wins for Celtic, St Johnstone and Hibs. The podcast ends with a brief chat abo

  • S8E26 Sean's Scottish Cup Special

    15/01/2019 Duración: 01h52s

It's a Scottish Cup special as we have a special guest on who is playing in it this weekend. Sean McIlroy, striker for Auchinleck Talbot joins the two John's. It's a big week as they face Ayr in the fourth round. He is currently in his second spell with the club and has played at a good level in Australia with a number of clubs. He gives an insight in to what it is like being a footballer, his time in Australia and what it's like in the Juniors. He gives us a behind the dressing room take on things too. He talks about how he dreams of scoring a last minute winner in a big game so maybe his dream will come true on Saturday. We talk a wee bit about what cup shocks there might be and what the playing surface is like at Rugby Park with news they may be changing the pitch. • S8E25 M and M Attack

    09/01/2019 Duración: 01h09min

It's the two John's on for the first podcast of 2019. You'd think it would be short with there being no Premiership action. The bulk of the podcast consists of transfer window chat in the Premiership with plenty of transfers happening already. The two Glasgow teams have been the busiest so far but there's plenty of time for that to change. Kilmarnock celebrated their 150th birthday earlier this month so we share some fan views on favourite moments, players and memories. There is a bit of chat about the referees in relation to club statements and the threats made against John Beaton. We ran some polls on Twitter with regards to who folk thought would win the lower leagues so that is discussed. There were a few surprises in the leagues with teams at the top struggling for results at the weekend. We hope to have a special guest on next week so fingers crossed that happens. • S8E24 Dalek John, Brother John

    31/12/2018 Duración: 01h36min

It's the trio on this week as the two John's and Krys are on. There are a couple of technical issues but hopefully it doesn't spoil your listening pleasure too much. It's a long one which may have to be listened to in two 45 minute halves. There's plenty to talk about with it being last podcast of 2018. We discuss the best moments, funniest moments, potential resolutions for managers and a best of 2018/19 Premiership team so far. It's been a busy week for teams in the Premiership with it being tight at all ends (listen to last week and you'll get the reference). Hearts and St Johnstone won both their games while Rangers won the Glasgow derby. In the lower leagues, the same teams remain at the top. Thanks to all of you for listening so far this season and if you've ever listened to any episode. All the best for 2019. Tweet us @sffpodcastFacebook - Scottish Football ForumsInstagram - sffpodcast

  • S8E23 Krysmas Chocolate Log

    24/12/2018 Duración: 01h11min

It's a red and white podcast this week as Krys misses out. The two John's are in fine and dandy mood as December is going so well for Aberdeen. The December fixture list has seen plenty of football played in the Premiership. At the top, there are four points separating the top four. Dundee are the Christmas turkey's as they are at the bottom. We apologise for going on about Aberdeen a bit too much but they are the form team this month. Celtic are at the top and looking like the title favourites they are. Rangers are up in second thanks to the goals of Morelos. The lower leagues remained much the same at the top with the exception of the lead changing hands in the Championship. Arbroath finally lost their unbeaten start to the season in the top of the table clash in League One. The guys cover the Highland and Lowland leagues as 2018 comes to a close. John B lets us know the Scottish Christmas eleven which has a couple of entries from director of podcasting Craig. The Auchinleck Talbot and Cumnock game is discu

  • S8E22 Blame it on the Bovril

    17/12/2018 Duración: 01h09min

It's the two John's and Krys on as they discuss the events in Scottish football. Plenty going on with European action and what's been going on domestically. There were mixed fortunes as Celtic progressed while Rangers brexited Europe. Domestically, there were a good few teams who played twice in the Premiership. Rangers went back to the top of the table while Hibs got back to winning ways. Aberdeen won both their games to rise up the league. In the lower leagues, the Championship saw five draws which doesn't happen often. Arbroath and Edinburgh City remain top of League One and Two respectively. The podcast concludes with some political and festive chat. Tweet us @sffpodcastFacebook - Scottish Football ForumsInstagram - sffpodcast
