"Persistent prayer begins with a posture of desperation." In part 3 of our series, we looked at persistent prayer from Luke 18:1-8.

Guest speaker, Pastor Robert Watson continued our series on Prayer focusing on the Path of Prayer. We looked at Jesus' instruction on how to pray in Matthew 6:9-13. "Prayer reminds me that I'm not in control, but I'm close to the One who is." "The reward of prayer is in the relationship with God."

Pastor Tim began a new series on prayer. The idea of prayer is popular, but the power and practice is often lacking. Today we looked at the power of prayer from James 5:13-18.

Guest speaker Dwight Saunders kicked off 2018 with a timely sermon on persevering through storms in our lives.

As we closed out the year, we had a special service focusing on Reflection & Renewal. We looked at Deuteronomy 4:9 and other passages in Deuteronomy that focus on the importance of looking back as we look forward.

"As Christians, we have a rooted joy, not a deluded one." Pastor Tim took us through Peculiar Joy & Passionate Worship from Luke 1:39-56 in part 3 of "Waiting on God".

We closed out the Sermon on the Mount with the 2 foundations from Jesus.

Guest speaker, Kent Delhousaye continued our series in The Different Life portion of the Sermon on the Mount discussing fruit and root in the Christian life.

Pastor Tim Birdwell continues the 3rd section of our series in the Sermon on the Mount, "The Different Life", looking at Jesus' words on anxiety.

Author, ministry leader, and professor Dr Steve Tracy joined us to address the sensitive, but necessary topic of Lust, Sex, & The Gospel.

Sunday we looked at Matthew 6:19-24 in the Sermon on the Mount to see how to use money and possessions, not for selfish gain, but eternal impact.

Guest Speaker, Pastor Rick Efird began "The Different Life" portion of the Sermon on the Mount. We looked at Matthew 6:1-18 to see how spiritual disciplines like giving, prayer, and fasting are not ways to earn God's favor, but to experience God's love.

"Jesus isn't debating divorce as much as He is elevating marriage." Pastor Tim Birdwell continued in "The Connected Life" with Faithfulness in Marriage & Words. We looked at the hard subject of marriage and divorce and let the grace and truth of Jesus direct us.

We took a break from the Sermon on the Mount to celebrate what God has done at PBC and dream about all that is to come.
